Where did coffee actually come from?
It's a longer journey than you'd think.

Coffee's story starts with wild plants in the Ethiopian highlands, long before anyone steamed milk. By the 1400s it was being brewed in Yemen, and the port of Mocha gave its name to a drink we still order today. When coffee houses reached England in the 1650s, people called them penny universities: a penny for a cup, and the conversation came free. Save this for your next coffee break.
