Two men side by side in barber chairs with the same short haircut, full and wavy on one, flatter and finer on the other

Same cut. Different result. Why?

Your reference photo isn't the problem.

That cut in the photo was made for that person's head, hair and growth pattern. Two people asking for the same thing usually need different guards, different blending and different styling to get a similar look. Next time, bring the photo and tell us what you like about it. That's often more useful than the cut itself.

Running a barbershop

Sound familiar?

  • Sharp cuts, quiet feed

Great work walks out of the door every day without anyone documenting it.

  • Back-to-back chairs

There's no natural break in the day to write captions or plan posts.

  • Walk-ins need reminders

People forget to book until they see a fresh fade on their feed.

Content worth following

One idea. Five slides. Something worth saving.

The “Why the same haircut looks different on different people” carousel in this feed isn't an advert. It's the kind of post people swipe through, save and send to a friend, and it shows you know your stuff before you ever ask for a sale.

  • Vintage barber clippers and a straight razor laid out on a dark wooden counter

Where did the fade come from?

    17:30 · Carousel · Barbering history

A fade is all about blending: hair goes from very short, or skin, to longer without a visible line. It's easy to describe and takes years to do well, which is why barbers have so many opinions about technique. Save this if you've ever been unsure what to ask for.
